This guide will provide a short review of setting up pricing.  A more detailed guide can be found in the ADVANCED PRICING articles.

Access the PRICING SETUP area under SYSTEM SETUP and select PRICING SETUP.

There is two types of Pricing Plans:  Hourly/Point-to-Point and GEO.  A more guide to these types of pricing plans can be found in the ADVANCED PRICING articles.

On the Hourly/Point to Point Pricing tab you have the option to:  ADD a new Plan, Manage Zones and Adjust Cust/Corp plans.

To Add a new Hourly/Point to Point click on the ADD option.

The ADD HOURLY PRICING PLAN has six tabs:

GENERAL:  Create a Name for the Plan.

HOURLY RATES:  All Vehicle types MUST have an hourly rate in the Default Plan.  Click on the ADD option.  Select the VEHICLE TYPE from the list and enter the hourly and minimum hours.  

ADD ZONE/POINT TO POINT:  If you have point to point rates between Zones and to and from Airports select the Vehicle Type.  Enter the rate and Estimated hours.  Check the option of the TYPE of reservation:  Ground, Arrival or Departure.  Select the From Zone and the To Zone or Airport.  

FIXED CHARGE ITEMS:  Select the ADD to create the FIXED CHARGE ITEMS your organization applies to reservations.  These items may be left as zero if the amounts are not always known or the same.

VARIABLE FEE ITEMS:  Select the ADD to create the VARIABLE FEE ITEMS.  Select the items the variable applies to and save.  NOTE:  If you later add new FIXED CHARGE ITEMS you will need to edit the Variables to apply to the new items.

TAXES:  If you charge taxes on reservations select the ADD TAX and enter the requested information.

MANAGE ZONES:  Zones are areas of a common price.  These may be listed as Cities or more specific as Postal Codes if your pricing divided Cities into zones.  Only City OR Postal code needs to be entered.  The Zone Name is internal only and the customer does not see these names.

ADJUST CUST/CORP PLANS:  Use this option to make bulk adjustment to Customer or Corporate pricing plans.  These adjustments can be an amount or a percentage.

The plan rates also my be adjusted by selecting the option.

To ADD a GEO based pricing plan select the GEO tab and select ADD.

Enter the SERVICE AREAS and FIXED CHARGE ITEMS.

Create the Rulesets for both PRIMARY (Rules that apply to ALL vehicle types) and any Vehicle specific rulesets.
